Had so much fun renovating a carriage house in Salida, Colorado!

The sweet Salida Garden Condo is part of a 3-unit historic complex on Salida's charming historic main street ("F" Street)

The studio condo now has exposed brick walls, wide-planked wood floors, a renovated kitchen and bath -- but all while retaining its historical charm.

The kitchen before -- a tired and crowded yellow space (the paint are test splotches as I pondered!)

The kitchen after -- a lovely Benjamin Moore red, painted cabinets, exposed wire shelving.  The washer/dryer was moved to the closet and the stove and refrigerator swapped places to open the entry.

The living area before.  A false ceiling decreased the perceived space, a loud furnace blasted air into the room, beige carpet had stains and colors not compatible with peace and quiet!

Living area after.  False ceiling removed, walls painted neutral color, wide plank wood floor, cozy gas "woodstove" provides warm glow and winter heat.

The historic studio is now a busy vacation rental and I love visiting myself!
